The Medolla Family's first release, a 2002 Merlot, is now available
for tasting and purchase at The Tasting Room in Peconic.
Their first release was made from 100% merlot grapes and aged in European Oak for over 2 years.
Since its release in March, their 2002 Merlot has been heralded by the American Wine Community - capturing a silver medal at the New York Food and Wine Classic Competition in July 2007.
"We are trying to make a wine that exemplifies our old world heritage", says John Medolla.
"It's completely hand crafted and we've put a lot of passion into it".
